I have always used National instruments Multisim and Ultiboard for my circuit design and PCB design work however as I already use solidworks CAD software for all my design engineering and solidwokrs software for all my milling work solidworks PCB was a very welcome edition and kind of made sense combining all of the platforms.

If all the main players in CAE, CAD, CAM got together to lay down a collaborating foundation and direction for the future to resolve things like direction and format compatibility.
